Aurora Maddocks-Jones (MJ)

Offshore Medic Lead

MJ is a highly experienced professional with over 12 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Subsea Construction, and most recently renewable energy. She is a British Army CMT1 - (Royal Army Medical Corp) veteran and now works as an HSE Offshore Medic and QHSE advisor. She holds an MSc in Safety Health and Environment. With vast experience offshore and also in the superyacht industry, she has an extreme passion for providing a gold-standard service across the medical profession and registering HSE OSMs with HPAC.

MJ is the managing director of one of the five companies in the UK that offer the HSE Offshore Medics course, as well as Maritime and Coastguard Authority (MCA) courses, Health & Safety courses, and medical qualifications. AdventureMed, the company she manages, is responsible for writing one of the UK's first Mental Health First Aid Awareness courses. MJ initiated this course following the tragic death of her 34-year-old brother to Mental Health. Her goal is to save lives and ensure that people receive the best possible care.

When she is not offshore, MJ is a medic for remote expeditions all over the world. In her free time, she enjoys completing ultra-marathons or other equally challenging activities across the globe.
